VMware Cluster Monitoring

Monitor the clusters in your VMware environment efficiently, and analyze key performance metrics such as total storage, memory and CPU utilization, and information about clusters and Distributed Resource Schedulers with Site24x7.        

Prerequisites

• Site24x7 On-Premise Poller with version 5.1.3 and above.
• VMware Read Only or Administrator roles along with Browse and Config privileges enabled for that particular vCenter credential. Learn how to enable these privileges.
• Ensure the discovery option for the cluster is enabled when adding or editing a vCenter monitor.

Adding a VMware Cluster Monitor

A VMware cluster can be easily discovered while adding a vCenter monitor.

To add a cluster monitor to an existing vCenter monitor:

1. Log into Site24x7.
2. Click the name of the vCenter monitor to open it.
3. On the monitor's dashboard, click the hamburger icon near the name of the monitor, and click Edit.
4. In the form that opens up, select Yes for Clusters under Discover and Auto-add Resources.
